Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $58.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Area of Specialization: Community or retail pharmacy

Specific Skills: Check prescriptions for proper dosage, Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products, Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals, Advise on the administration, uses and effects of the medication, drug incompatibilities and contra-indications, Maintain medication profiles of customers, Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products, Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication, Participate in basic research for the development of new drugs, Develop informational materials concerning the uses and properties of particular drugs, Evaluate labelling, packaging and advertising of drug products

Other Information: other duties: Ensuring prescription is complete & authentic,counselling patients for OTC meds,consulting practitioners w/ respect to patient’s theraphy,ensuring accuracy of drug & personal health info
