Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working evenings and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer B train

Type of Travel: Provincial/territorial

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking

Other Information: Experienced super "B" driver required for Alberta - B.C. run stationed out of Kamloops.
