Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $8.89 per hour for a 44 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Staff accommodation provided, Room and board provided, Urban area

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Salary will include 4% of gross pay for holiday pay and pay for 12 days sick leave per year. There is a $152.00 per month charge for room and board. Care involves elderly handicapped diabetic.
