Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years), Over 12 years

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided, Urban area, Willing to relocate

Essential Skills: Oral communication

Other Information: Ability to speak Ibo and cook African dishes.
