Area of Steamfitting and Pipefitting Specialization: Fire protection systems

Area of Sprinkler System Installer Specializations: Wet and dry pipe, Pre-action and deluge, Water supplies and hydrants, Branch lines, Control valves, Drain valves, Quick-opening equipment, Fire hose connections

Sprinkler System Maintenance and Repair Activities: Test operation of sprinkler systems, Perform inspections, Service and repair sprinkler system components

Type of Piping: Black carbon or steel, Plastic

Specific Skills: Test system for leaks, Remove and replace defective components

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Estimate labour and material costs

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Working with others, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: This is a permanent year round position. Not a camp job.
