Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $27.00 to $31.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Carpenter Trade Certification, Driver’s License.

Human Resources Responsibility: 1 - 5

Workers Supervised: Apprentices, Trades helpers, Labourers

Major Work Area: Construction, Maintenance, Repair, Custom Work

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential, Independently owned business

Specific Skills: Supervise workers and projects, Coordinate and schedule activities, Train or arrange for training, Set up equipment

Additional Skills: Prepare production and other reports, Oversee apprenticeship training, Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions, Estimate material and labour costs, Prepare bids

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle

Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less
